What if my house doesn't have soffits?

This is extremely common in the Bay Area, especially on mid-century, Eichler, open-beam and tile-edge homes. We fabricate a custom mounting board or channel along the roofline so the lights have a proper straight surface to attach to.

Can you see Govee permanent lights during the day?

You can see them if you look, but a well-executed installation is discreet. The fixtures sit tight to the eave or on a color-matched mounting surface, wires are concealed, and spacing is consistent — so from the street it reads as trim detail rather than decoration.
